A Reveiw:Fist of Guthix

On April 9th, 2008, Jagex realeased the new minigame Fist of Guthix. Here are my thoughts on it.

Starting point: If you walk right out of Varrok, north-east of the palace, you will see the Wildy Ditch. Go across it, and head straight north, you will eventually reach a cave. Enter the cave, and go along the passage. Talk to the giant earwig named Fiona (don’t worry, you won’t not be able to find “her”) and ask her “what is this place?”

She will then explain the rules of the game, while showing you a visual at the same time. The rules of the game are quite simple. (note: I tried to write the rules too, but I did a really bad job and its not worth publishing)

There are several problems with this game, as well as most of Jagex’s updates. I have noticed that in this minigame, the chances of lagging out are increased greatly. Beware of lagging out, right when I was about to win, I lagged out. Also, they need to have multiple arenas for the game, because I notice that people have to just stand around clicking on the same spot of a while before they get in. And they really need to have better rewards, like stuff that you would get from pking. Like say 50 sharks per 100 tokens. Or A DDS for like 400 tokens. Well, that sums it up. See ya!

Now, at one point in life everything comes together. This is a story that starts out with three events happening at almost the same time.

First, a young boy (maybe the age of thirteen) was practicing swordplay with his teacher, when he slipped. His sword went flying through the air, and the blade went right into the window, but the window did not shatter.

Second, a cloaked assassin had his bow aimed at his target. He shot, but right when it was passing in front of the window, a sword mysteriously stuck right out of the window, and the arrow clanked of the sword and fell to the ground.

Third, a man in a blue robe and a beard was standing near a building, when he heard a loud “thud!” coming from behind him. He turned, and he saw an assassin dodging behind the building and fleeing. He also saw the arrow lying on the ground, and the sword sticking out of the window, and understood. He reached into his pocket, and took out a small torch. Then he swirled his hand near the torch, and suddenly the torch flared with the light of the flames. He finally took at small pouch out of his pocket, and, as he threw the torch onto the building, poured the pouches contents on the flames. He then mysteriously “floated” to the roof of the building. He snickered as an evil grin spread across his face.

First I want to clear something up here.

So me, being someone whos posts are all over the non-rs related section, is now moving into the sandbox. Why? Because nowadays, there are topics like”whats your favorite food” and “How ofte do you shower?”

This is a quote from my most recent post, and I thought you might’ve misunderstood me. By “there are topics like”whats your favorite food” and “How often do you shower?” I meant that the non-rs related discussion forum has those in it. Not the sandbox.

Single Player Online games. Quite pointless. Its rare that you ever see a good one, and I find them boring. The only single player game I actually enjoyed, is Adventure Quest. I don’t know If many people here know about it, but I find it enjoyable. But mainly, they look like a peice of crap that someone decided to microwave and call a game.

Now, I think most of you here visit the non-runescape related section of rsbandb. And I have noticed, that over time the topics get less and less intresting. So me, being someone whos posts are all over the non-rs related section, is now moving into the sandbox. Why? Because nowadays, there are topics like”whats your favorite food” and “How ofte do you shower?” Well, thats my point.
